1About this notice

1.1This notice explains how csr.eurabeltfuels.com (the “portal”), operated by Eurabelt Fuels Ltd, uses cookies and similar technologies, in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the UK GDPR.

1.2A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. In this notice, “cookies” includes them all.

2Reading the portal sets no cookie

2.1You can read every public page of the portal without any cookie being set on your device. The portal does not use analytics, advertising, profiling, social media or other tracking cookies, and it does not load any third-party script: every script it uses is served from the portal itself.

3The one cookie we use

3.1When you open a page with a form — the NGO application form or the contact form — or when an authorised administrator signs in to the administration area, the portal sets a single session cookie:

• Name: PHPSESSID (the standard session cookie of the portal’s software).
• Purpose: to keep a security token that protects the form against cross-site request forgery, and to keep an administrator signed in.
• Type: strictly necessary; first-party; marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and Secure when served over HTTPS.
• Duration: the browser session; it is deleted when you close your browser.

3.2This cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for — sending a form securely, or administering the portal — and so, under the law, it does not require consent. It contains a random identifier only, and it is not used to identify, profile or follow you.

4Share buttons

4.1The share buttons on the portal are plain links. They are built in your browser from the address of the page, and they load nothing from the platforms they point to. No cookie is set and no information is sent to any platform unless and until you choose a platform and follow the link. From that point, the platform’s own cookie and privacy notices apply.

5Links to other sites

5.1The portal links to other Eurabelt sites and to third-party sites, such as government registers and the United Nations. Those sites may use cookies of their own, governed by their own notices. Please read them when you visit those sites.

6Managing cookies

6.1You can block or delete cookies through the settings of your browser. If you block the session cookie, you can still read the portal, but the application and contact forms cannot be submitted, because the security check depends on it.

7Changes and contact

7.1If we ever propose to use any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent before setting it.
